About Us
Lucky Toad Coffee was started by my friend Jacob and me (Skylar). What began as a simple idea turned into a mobile coffee trailer focused on high quality espresso, a clean setup, and something we could truly call our own.

Jacob comes from a background as a barista and a family rooted in culinary experience, and I have four years of experience in marketing in the food and beverage industry along with a business degree from UC San Diego. Coffee has always been a big part of both of our lives, and it’s what led us to build Lucky Toad Coffee. From the start, we focused on keeping things local, being mindful of our environmental impact, even incorporating solar power into our trailer while making sure every drink is something we are proud to serve.

What Makes this Toad so Lucky?
When it came time to name the business, Jacob’s first idea was “The Pad.” Good effort but too vague. I started thinking more along the lines of swamp or pond creatures...toads, perchance?

Then came the “lucky” part. We knew we needed something quirky and cute to get some attention, and after turning down his first idea, I figured Jacob deserved a win. So I asked, “What if the toad was lucky?”

After some odd hours of brainstorming and a few long breaks from Jacob’s barista shifts, we landed on the name "Lucky Toad Coffee."
